Over the next few weeks, we will have the opportunity to really work on our power. I would like each rower to set a personal target relating to a specific test. Some suggestions of what you might use are : how many minutes can you repeat 30 harvards starting every minute ; Max watts in 10 strokes on the erg rate cap 34, time taken for 250m on the erg rate cap 44, How many inclined sit ups can you do without stopping. How many split squats at a 3 3 tempo can you do before taking a break. Think of you own or maybe two different ones and test yourself today. The aim is that in 6 weeks time you should be better.
I know many of you will have been training hard this last week but I realise it is a lot harder for most to push yourself on your own. With this in mind I am planning to run virtual training sessions so we can share our training together. The exact format, I am finalising but I hope this will make the schedule easier and more enjoyable.
To finish on some good news. I have just received confirmation that all the major International regattas ( World Champs etc) are planning to go ahead so obviously the rowing world are expecting regattas this summer. Keep faith
