Dear All
Please see below from Toby Lassen, for those that don't know him, he's a former GMS rower who now rows for Oxford Brookes Uni.

Hi all,
Recently I have been getting a lot of complaints about the Termaxx kit, mainly with sizing errors and the quality. This is an issue that has been raised multiple times from a range of different squads at GMSBC. As some of you may know I am very passionate when it comes to kit, so I want it to be the best both economically and quality. So I have been searching for a new kit supplier for the club and with a bit of luck I have been able to find one. I was searching for a company that delivered high quality kit, at a low/reasonable price within the rowing market. The new company that has been chosen is called Rival Kit (https://rivalkit.com/collections/great-marlow-school-boat-club ). I believe that this kit supplier is the perfect way forward for GMSBC, they are reasonably priced and provide high level gear to many different clubs and universities across the country.
As I can probably tell, by this point you are reading this and thinking that you are going to have to spend more money immediately, well no. The fact is we recognise that kit is expensive, so we aren't going to be strict on people mixing and matching for race kit, however when it comes to big regattas such as National Schools or British Champs it would be ideal for the crew to have the newest race all in one. This again isn't mandatory.
With the new store it works slightly different to how it has before. Once you click on the Great Marlow School Boat Club shop you will be able to click on the products you would like to purchase and then buy them straight away without waiting for an order window. This is because Rival operates without order windows and does bespoke orders tailored to the customer that is ordering. So you can buy a kit whenever you would like and it will be at your door in 2/3 weeks, depending on the order. This also means we won't be running kit windows but will give reminders 2/3 times a year.
I have also created a bundle for both the senior (Yr 11-13) and junior (Yr 7- 10) squads as I do realise junior are more likely to give up the sport than the senior squad. With regards to this the bundles, these are tailored to the seasons and I have put certain things in that I believe are better suited to summer/spring and winter/autumn. The things that are mandatory for athletes to have are:
Great Marlow School classic race AIO (£50)
Great Marlow School Base layer - Long sleeve (£26)
Great Marlow School classic race leggings (£32)
These are the essentials as this is the racing kit of GMSBC and makes us unique. Every other bit of kit is optional. Senior teams (Yr 11+) will also have a special top as an order window every year and if they make Henley Royal Regatta they will also have the opportunity to buy a zephyr closer to the time.
Thank you for your time, any questions related to kit can be directed to me at lassentoby@gmail.com.
Thanks
