Hi All
I have become aware that maybe people aren’t fully aware of the catering facility being offered at NSR this weekend.
Carlos & Joy have very generously offered to run a BBQ which will include: breakfast baps, BBQ lunch and a late afternoon BBQ for those racing later in the day. It’s a little unknown which days the late afternoon BBQ will be on – likely not to be the Friday, but definitely the Saturday, and we’ll see on the Sunday who is still around before pack-up. The BBQ is for rowers and parents/supporters, although Mr Murison has stressed that he doesn’t want the rowers over-eating BBQ food prior to racing!
In addition, there will be salads in the marquee from Carlos & Joy, plus those that parents have contributed.
They will not be able to do hot food for vegetarians over the weekend. Regulations have become so much stricter on cross contamination and additional cooking equipment that is required means you need additional equipment and another chef, so it becomes uneconomically viable. However, all of their salads are vegan and if parents can bring down any special dietary requirements I am sure no one will go hungry!
There is no fixed charge for the BBQ, but hope that partakers will make a donation in the box provided. All donations will go towards the Engine Fund.
As previously emailed, there will also be an Honesty Bar over the 3 days. Small water bottles are available free of charge.
Thank you for all your contributions – I’m sure it will be a splendid weekend with successful racing! We’re marquee no. 60 – I look forward to seeing you!
